As the horrific events in the Middle East continue to develop and command the world’s attention,economic issues may seem relatively unimportant. However, the Israel-Hamas conflict createsgeopolitical risks with potential global economic consequences.

With September drawing to a close, it has become more likely that the federal government will close its doors; at least temporarily.

Equities led the way in the 2nd quarter, particularly US Equities, as the technology sector fueled gains for headline indexes.

As the national debt increases, raising the debt ceiling is becoming a more contentious issue for lawmakers.  The only way to change the trajectory of increasing debt levels is to increase revenue, reduce spending, or both.
