Mark P. Collard Mark is managing partner and co-founder of Landmark Wealth Management. Throughout his 13 years of practicing wealth management, Mark has been dedicated to client relationships and to developing a true understanding of clients' needs. With this understanding, he is able to implement successful investment strategies to help clients meet their financial goals.
Prior to starting Landmark, Mark was the Managing Principal of Odyssey Advisors, Inc. an investment advisory firm he founded and operated for 6 years. Mark started his career with HSBC Bank USA in its Executive Development Program. He served as an International Bank Officer in HSBC Bank UK in London, United Kingdom studying at HSBC's retail and investment banking training center in Bricket Wood, United Kingdom.
Upon his return to Buffalo, Mark worked in the Private Bank of Bank of America as a Vice President and Financial Advisor providing comprehensive financial planning and wealth management to high net worth individuals, families, and institutions. While working at the Private Bank in 2005, Mark graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Management with an Executive Masters of Business Administration (EMBA).
In 2009 Mark received Business First's 40 Under 40 award, recognizing rising leaders in the local Western New York community. Mark currently serves as a member of Try-It Distributing Co., Inc. Board of Advisors. As a lifelong resident of the Buffalo area, Mark has an active commitment to the local community. Mark currently serves on the Board of Goodwill Industries, the Board of Hasek's Heroes, the Buffalo Philharmonic Foundation - Investment Committee, and the advisory board for the State University of Buffalo's Terese Kelly Investment Group. He is a former Director of the Buffalo Club. Mark resides in Amherst, New York with his wife Jacqueline and their three children.
Mark graduated from Saint Vincent College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Finance and a minor in Accounting. He is a member of the Investment Management Council Association, through which he has earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor designation. The CPWA certification is offered in conjunction with The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Mark has also earned the Certified Fund Specialist designation.
Brian K. Laible CPA, CFP, CIMA, MBA
Brian K. Laible Brian is managing partner and co-founder of Landmark Wealth Management. Throughout his 14 years practicing wealth management, Brian's focus is to consistently bring the highest level of service to his clients. Brian's commitment to clients, along with his high standards, has continued to set his firm apart.
Prior to starting Landmark, Brian had served in various senior level capacities at Sanderson Wealth Management, including co-owner, Vice President, and Director of Research, overseeing multiple client responsibilities. Previously at Ernst & Young, Brian worked in various capacities, including financial analyst, public auditor, and investment advisor. During his last year at Ernst & Young, Brian worked directly in Upstate New York Personal Financial Consulting Practice, and was part of an investment advisory team that assisted high-net-worth individuals achieve their financial goals.
Brian's sincere passion for client service and the financial markets began early in his career. Under the auspices of the National Academy Foundation, Brian began interning at Ernst & Young in 1994 while still in high school. During the ensuing eight years, Brian graduated valedictorian from Lafayette High School and attended Canisius College on a full Presidential scholarship, graduating summa cum laude and first in his class in both Accounting and Finance. He received the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Arthur H. Carter Award and subsequently received his Certified Public Accountant designation. Brian pursued his MBA from the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated with honors in 2002.
Throughout his career, Brian has received numerous accolades. In 2003, he was one of ten selected among 38,000 nominees to receive the Outstanding Alumni Award from the National Academy Foundation. In that same year, Brian was also selected as the Canisius College Alpha Sigma Nu Outstanding Alumni. In 2011 he received Business First's 40 Under 40 award, recognizing rising leaders in the local Western New York community. As a lifelong resident of the Buffalo area, Brian has an active commitment to the local community. He has taught in the Masters of Finance program at the University of Buffalo and is also on the advisory board for the University of Buffalo Terese Kelly Investment Group. Brian currently serves on the Investment Management Council Association Editorial Board for the Investments & Wealth Monitor, a national professional investment journal.
Brian is a Certified Public Accountant, and has earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst and Certified Financial Planner designations. He has attended multiple programs at the Wharton School, and holds a Strategic Investment Certificate and an Alternative Certificate from the Investment Management Council Association. Brian is also a graduate of the University of Buffalo Center for Entrepreneur Leadership program. Brian resides in Amherst, New York with his wife Jennifer, and their two children Grace and Jack.
